Pyplok®has recently acquired RINA Type Approval for its DM Series and DP40 Series fittings. You can learn more about RINA, along with its certifications and goals, on their website.
This broadens the scope of applications for which Pyplok® can be used in the Marine and Offshore industry, especially within the shipbuilding sector, for commercial vessels. Much like the other Pyplok® marine certifications, this approval covers products ranging in size from 1/4" (6mm) through 4" (115mm) and materials including Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Duplex, Super Duplex and Copper Nickel (CuNi) grades.
This type approval comes on the heels of Pyplok® passing the new IACS fire test requirements of ISO 19921, consisting of an 8 minute dry and 22 minute wet fire test. ISO 19921 is required for systems such as dry fire lines and hydraulics lines in machinery spaces.
