ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 Certification for Tube-Mac® Spain

Tube-Mac® Piping Technologies, S.L. has recently obtained the certification ISO 9001: 2015 for Quality Management and ISO 14001: 2015 for Environmental Management, after successfully completing the audit process carried out by the certification company Bureau Veritas (BV).

The certifications guarantee the fulfillment of demanding Environmental and Quality Management controls both of our facilities and of the different services that we offer from Tube-Mac®, as an expert company in piping without welding.

The objective of the Tube-Mac® Quality Management system is the continuous improvement of processes, in order to offer our customers the best quality products and services. ISO 9001: 2015 is based on the principles of our business philosophy: customer orientation, staff participation, leadership, process-based approach, customer-focused objectives, continuous improvement and mutually beneficial relationships with our customers.

Likewise, we have obtained the ISO 14001: 2015 certificate of Quality and Environment, a certification that recognizes Tube-Mac® as a company committed to the search of sustainability of its activities with the environment.

All this will allow us to continue working to offer a greater added value and better quality services to our customers.

New Distributor in Italy

The Tube-Mac® Group is pleased to announce the appointment of HEXAFLUID Srl. also known as Hexafluid as our new PYPLOK® distributor throughout Italy.

Hexafluid has its head office located Costa Volpino in the province of Bergamo, Italy.

They are a complete solutions provider of Tube-Mac® PYPLOK® metric tube fittings and NPS pipe fittings for hydraulic, lubrication, steam lines, air, nitrogen, fuel and many other applications.

Their management and employee philosophy is to provide reliable, high quality engineered products in a timely manner to service their customers. Expanding their product base by including Tube-Mac® PYPLOK® fitting technology will provide a great opportunity for both Hexafluid and Tube-Mac®.

Tube-Mac® welcomes this new distributor into our group of companies.

Tube-Mac® Piping Technologies in Panama

 

The expansion of the Panama Canal involves the construction of a third set of gates that will allow for the passage of Post-Panamax vessels, which will double the Canal’s capacity. The new locks will have a total of 16 rolling gates (eight for each new lock complex), unlike the current canal which uses miter gates. Tube-Mac® supplied 1000's for flare flange and PYPLOK® fittings for the new Panama Canal locks under contract with Bosch Rexroth Germany. 72,000 feet (22,000 meters) of stainless steel hydraulic piping was installed for Culvert and Equalization Valves.

Statoil TR3016 approval for PYPLOK®

The Tube-Mac® Group is pleased to announce through the efforts of our Norwegian distributor, Hydra Pipe, we have received Statoil TR3016 Approval for PYPLOK® mechanically attached fittings.

Based on a rigorous Technology Assessment process where all aspect related to cost, schedule, HSE strategies, targets and plans have been identified, it is concluded that use of PYPLOK® press couplings is qualified technology for first use in Statoil. No further technology Qualification Program (TQP) will be required.

Due to limited experience with the use of PYPLOK® press couplings on high pressure and hydro carbon systems, Statoil has chosen a more restrictive area of use than the temperature, pressure and dimension limits specified in the certificates. It is chosen to limit the dimension up to 2” size and max #300 pressure class system on critical systems and #900 pressure class system on non-critical systems.

PYPLOK® will be listed in Statoil TR3016 during the next revision and this notification is to certify the product until the TR3016 is updated.

Tube-Mac® Austria in Wind Turbine Drivetrain Test Lab

 

RENK LABECO Test Systems built the world's largest wind turbine drivetrain test rig for the Clemson facility to test the next generation of wind turbines. This 15 MW test stand features a fully dynamic load application unit that uses hydraulic cylinders to impart forces and moments onto the rotating shaft of the test turbine. Such loads simulate wind gusts, wind shear, and other disturbances that the turbine blade assembly would experience in the natural environment. Tube-Mac supplied 26,000 kg of piping and supports.
